How do I import a PDF?

Tap Import a PDF on the Files tab, or open a PDF from another app (like Files or Mail) using the share sheet's "Open in PDF Reader" option.

What tools are included?

The Tools tab has Merge, Split, Compress, Insert pages, Password protect, and Watermark for organizing PDFs, plus PDF → Text and Image → PDF for converting between formats.

How does Scan to PDF work?

Go to the Scan tab and point your camera at a document. Pages are auto-cropped and combined into a PDF; turn on OCR to make the scanned text searchable and selectable.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Reading, all PDF tools, and scanning with OCR all run entirely on your device and work fully without an internet connection.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your PDFs, notes, highlights, and reading progress stay on your device — nothing is uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for details.

What about the "AI" button I see in the reader?

AI explain and note-organizing are upcoming features and are not active yet — you'll see a "coming soon" message for now.

「工具」页提供合并、拆分、压缩、插入页面、密码保护、添加水印，用于整理 PDF；还有 PDF 转文本、图片转 PDF 用于格式转换。

扫描功能怎么用？

进入「扫描」页，用相机对准文档。页面会自动裁边并合成为 PDF；开启 OCR 可以让扫描出的文字可搜索、可选中。

需要联网使用吗？

不需要。阅读、所有 PDF 工具，以及带 OCR 的扫描功能全部在设备本地运行，完全离线也能正常使用。

我的数据安全吗？

是的。您的 PDF、笔记、高亮和阅读进度都只保存在您的设备上，不会上传。详见隐私政策。
